Celebrate the bounty of BC's waters with Vancouver's best chefs

The city's top chefs prepare spot prawn dishes down at False Creek's Fishermen's Wharf from Noon to 3 p.m. Also: lineup early for the spot prawn specials at Go Fish, the little kiosk that could. This third annual event features demonstrations and dishes from Robert Belcham (Fuel Restaurant); Andrea Carlson (Bishop's); Hidekazu Tojo (Tojo's); Jeff Van Geest (Diva at the Met); John Bishop (Bishop's); and dozens more. After you've been inspired, grab your own bagful ($12 per pound) and recreate the experience at home. The festival's bonanza, which allows one to buy live, locally sourced, and sustainable prawns directly on the dock, continues for six to eight weeks. Buying time: after 1 p.m. every day.
