Cioppino’s (Gold) scores yet again, and for good reason. Chef/proprietor Pino Posteraro creates “deceptively simple, focused, and precise” dishes that honour tradition while subtly pushing boundaries. “Splendid service, an inspired wine list, and spectacular bright flavours—prepared with a confident hand—make this one of the best Italian rooms you’ll find anywhere.” CinCin (Silver) offers “quality dishes (and especially unforgettable desserts) in a vivid, buzzy room that appeals to visitors and locals alike,” while Il Giardino (Bronze) is “a perfect place to impress your clients—and your appetite.” Honourable Mentions to La Terrazza and Q4.
