Doug Cranmer, a noted practitioner of Kwakwaka’wakw art, is honoured in this posthumous exhibition. The rare showcase—which includes a collection of wood poles and masks (his name, Kesu’, means “wealth being carved”)—is presented in overlapping sections that represent facets of the artist’s personality: the contrarian, the pragmatist, the mentor.
