9th Avenue Grill

October 9, 2009
1822 W. Broadway

For all the Vancouverites who claim to skip breakfast, there’s a preponderance of all-day egg-’n’-bacon joints in town. This family-run operation, on the border between Kits and South Granville, has a faithful following willing to shell out a little extra for high-quality, local ingredients. While there’s a somewhat passé emphasis on low-carb options (an English muffin-less Benny: why bother?), you can’t go wrong with the 9th Avenue Omelette Special (bacon, sausage, zucchini, mushrooms, eggplant, green onions, diced tomatoes, and feta, $9.99), and the locally roasted coffee always clears the Sunday fog.
