Penticton is an unlikely place for excellent sushi, but Isshin draws fans from up and down the valley for its high-quality sashimi, sushi, tempura, and noodles. There’s always a line-up at lunch and often at dinner. The narrow, diner-like space is functional, but it’s all about the freshness and generous portions at this family-run restaurant. House specialties are the curry potato croquette that accompany the lunch bento ($9.95), the lotus root tempura with shrimp ($10.95), and the grilled black cod dinner ($16.95).
