Founder Preet Marwaha opened this restaurant/shop/supplier of raw, vegan, organic food two yers ago after immersing himself in alternative health. (He beat colitis following this change in his diet.) The huge space is mainly a production facility, so expect noise and thrum in the 24-seat cafe alongside. Given the many nutritional strictures (staff are mostly nutrition or health-science students, so come with questions), the flavours are amazingly robust. The Tapas Platter is a good intro: nut "cheeses," hummus, and olive tapenade to smear on onion-sesame croquettes and housemade "crackers" construced from dehydrated veggies. Smoothies and juices (try the beet-boosted Big Pink with pineapple and burdock root) to drink, and expect to leave stuffed but virtuous.

NOTE: a new location has just opened in the Chopra yoga centre near Waterfront station in downtown, at 451 Granville St.
