Visiting this West End gem is still one of the best ways to enjoy Vancouver’s changing seasons—be it via the signature 100-mile tasting menu or the sweeping English Bay views from the pretty patio. Newly appointed executive chef Peter Robertson keeps the focus on regional, seasonal, and sustainable, leaving no stone unturned in his quest for the very best from our local farms and waters. Artisanal products shine in dishes like crabapple vinaigrette marinated Bayne Sound scallops ($16), and Skeena River hawkshaw salmon with glazed radishes and carrot crème fraîche ($27). G.M. and recent B.C. Restaurant Hall of Fame inductee Brent Hayman’s wine list, culled from west of the Cascades, is a winner. Complimentary pastries and a killer Dungeness crab Benny make this a must visit for weekend brunch.
