This legendary spot was the first to marry the bounty of our local waters with Cantonese techniques honed to highlight the inherent sweetness of live seafood. Local diners keenly anticipate the semi-annual Alaskan king crab promotion. The spectacular giants are served three ways: the legs are steamed with sweet garlic; the knuckles are fried with spicy pepper, salt, and garlic; and the carapace is filled with Macanese curried rice and baked. It’s a dining experience that cannot be replicated at such a reasonable price (from $15 per pound, depending on the season) anywhere else in the world. Dim sum is prepared in-house to exacting standards. Shrimp har gow are translucent and fresh, the steamed prawn dumplings topped with local Dungeness crab meat, and the baked tapioca pudding steaming under a crackling crust.
