Settle in at the sexy bar with a Hello Kitty and say hi to, well, everyone. This lavish, enormous, shouty room snaps and crackles with see-and-be-seeners and the thin crowd. West Coast but Asian-inflected, the menu riffs on ginger, coconut, lemongrass…with dips into straight-forward rib-eye and the odd anomaly, like bacon-fried rice with quail eggs ($9). Good value edibles on the menu but the wine list could use more affordables. And sigh. Aren’t wines by the half-glass and free wireless at lunch depressing comments on the work ethic hereabouts?
