Shopping Diary:
Cristina Linden’s Basquiat has moved to a bigger and bolder space in Yaletown; we love their new line of luxurious Italian silk scarves. 1189 Hamilton St., Yaletown, 604-688-0828. ¶ If you’re a woman of the world who’s raised her diamond-clad right hand, head to Clutch—the city’s first female-focussed/female-run car dealership, specializing in high-end autos. 1755 W. Third Ave., Kitsilano, 604-739-0800. ¶ The annual French Country Antiques warehouse sale, a month-long affair, starts April 3. Look for a striking florist’s armoire with a mustard-yellow pressed-zinc front, sea-aged oyster baskets from Brittany, weather-beaten shutters salvaged in Marseille, glazed Alsatian pitchers and more. Monday to Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. 150-750 Terminal Ave., Strathcona. ¶ Spank moved across Fourth to make room for Edith & Bob, a new store and a new concept for the company that now sells men’s clothing. 2003 W. Fourth Ave., Kitsilano, 778-371-9015. ¶ As of press time there still was no official word on when Williams Sonoma would be opening its first Vancouver location, but a flurry of activity behind papered windows at 13th and Granville suggests soon. ¶ And speaking of highly anticipated openings, Holt Renfrew will unveil its gorgeous, size-doubling space on May 31. BRINGING UP BABY

The Nest Bassinet, designed by Scott Wilson for Ooba, cleverly transforms into a toy bin and sleek table once the little one has grown. The shell is made from bent plywood with rich wood veneers in walnut or beech, and a chrome metal base ($1,020). Also in the line: Nest crib, which converts to a toddler’s daybed. At Modern Kid, 45 Water St., Gastown, 604-662-3181.
