Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival

From taiko drumming and plein air painting to a flash mob umbrella dance (step aside, Harlem Shake), this annual fest is a month-long celebration of budding artists. After the sun sets, we'll be checking out the Sakura Illumination Tour, a mobile installation capturing this season's fleeting beauty under LED and patterned video lights (stay tuned to vcbf.ca for locations). No festival is complete without something to nosh on, and this one is all about the bento box.
