The Big Picture

May 8, 2010

The UBC Film Production program celebrates 40 years with a film-themed party throwing open a revitalized production building. Over 350 grads are expected to attend, including directors Sturla Gunnarsson (Beowulf & Grendel) and Lynne Stopkewich (Kissed). See the program that launched the likes of Mina Shum, Reg Harkema, and recent Academy Award nominee Julian Clarke (District 9), and roam its heritage home with live music, film screenings, and DIY film projects. Tickets, $25, benefit a new Film Production Scholarship Fund.
