This festival of contemporary dance is back for its 34th year, with over thirty live indoor and outdoor stage performances. The fest also features premieres of dance films and forums.

2. Deck Chair Cinema Presents Persepolis

July 7

Polygon Gallery’s Deck Chair Cinema summer series is showcasing weekly al fresco film screenings on Lower Lonsdale’s waterfront deck. This week’s screening is of Persepolis, which is based on the true story of (and graphic novel by) Marjane Satrapi and her life as a rebellious, punk-loving teen in pre- and post-revolutionary Iran and then in Europe.

Pop! Summer Strolls

3. Pop! Summer Strolls

July 7-17

Stroll through The Glades Woodland Garden and happen across four different performances as you enjoy the picturesque park. From enchanting harps to sleight of hand magic, to sing-along Celtic songs this unique event combines nature with art.

4. Vancouver Craft Beer and Music Festival

July 9-10

Sip on craft brews and cider while listening to live tunes at Vancouver Craft Beer and Music Festival. The event will also have a bunch of food trucks and chef pop-up tables (think freshly shucked oysters and Spanish tapas) and yard games like cornhole.

Fanny Bay x Copperpenny

5. Fanny Bay Oysters x Copperpenny Distilling Pop-Up

July 10

Spend this Sunday at this oyster and cocktail pop-up, featuring three premium varieties of oysters and three seasonal drinks to pair with. À la carte oysters and beverages will also be available, as well as some special oyster shooters like the shooter no.001 which features a sunseeker oyster atop of Copperpenny Caesar shot. Walk in or make reservations by emailing info@copperpennydistilling.com.
