Yes, it’s eaglet-hatching season, and the Stanley Park Ecology Society has put together a webinar for anyone looking to brush up on their eagle knowledge. An expert with firsthand experience working with eagles will be there to answer all your apex predator-related q’s. Are the eagles being affected by COVID-19? 3. Attend the Indian Summer Festival

The Indian Summer Festival is bringing their lineup of quirky, experimental, and inclusive art online this year. There’s something new each Saturday—this week is “It Could Be Verse: Poetry for a Pandemic,” a brilliantly-named showcase of 15 poets (from both around here and around the world) sharing their stuff.

4. Cheer with Beer

7:00 p.m. daily, you know the drill

Steamworks Brewing has just released a drink specifically for our daily cheer. The 7 O’clock Cheer pale ale is made with gifted local ingredients and materials (shout out to Gambrinus Malting, Hops Connect, and Westkey Graphics) and 100% of net proceeds—yes, 100%— are being donated to health care teams. Not a bad way to say thanks.

5. Try a New Restaurant

Despite this likely being one of the worst times to open up a restaurant (like, ever), some brave locals are full speed ahead, albeit cautiously. Gastown’s Brgr Brgr Beers, Mount Pleasant’s Lil Bird Sandwich Co., and Yaletown’s Brunch all opened their doors recently—welcome them home by ordering in.
