Chuckle till you cry at Vancouver-based comedian Chris Griffin’s live show, fittingly titled “I’m not Your Family, Guy.” Griffin is the first Canadian comic in over 40 years to reach the finals at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and was also awarded the “Rampant Male Shirtlessness Award” (whatever that means) at the JFL Northwest Comedy Awards earlier this year. His two performances on Thursday will be live comedy tapings, so make sure you warm up your giggles. Bregović is one of the most famous modern composers and musicians of the Balkans, with his music drawing on traditional Balkan rhythms and soulful Romani folk tunes. Percussion, brass, and animated vocals all come together in a high-energy harmony, and performances like this Bella Ciao rendition are totally infectious.
