Maenam launched their new spring menu just in time for Mother’s Day (hello, Thai cupcakes with BC sidestripe shrimp!) but they also have exclusive dishes only available for Mother’s Day weekend. Book you reservation in advance and you’ll experiences dishes like chilled steamed BC Dungeness crab (with ginger and truffle sauce), three-flavour whole fish ($52) and beef short rib gorlae dry curry ($48).
Fresh Ideas Start Here (F.I.S.H.) has a deluxe seafood platter available so that you can wow your mom and enjoy local, wild-caught, sustainable seafood. Expect to see a variety of ocean favourites like BC Dungeness crab legs, BC spot prawn pasta salad, wild shrimp cocktail, smoked wild salmon lox and seaweed salad. F.I.S.H. also offers house-made add-ons like crackers, smoked olives or pickled red onions.
Railtown Catering’s Mother’s Day package comes with tons of delicious bites perfect for sharing al fresco (or at home!). Your meal begins with four spring-inspired starters: Ahi tuna carpaccio with avocado and asparagus), mascarpone stuffed figs with honey and black pepper, chilled potato and watercress soup and a baby spinach salad. The main event is a selection of sandwich spreads served alongside a fresh baguette and sourdough crostinis (think chicken salad with morels and pork rillettes with house-made mustard). Dessert is a show-stopping lemon meringue pie.

Savoury City is bringing back their Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The package features an array of sweet and savoury treats (32 savoury bites, 16 sweets and 4 scones!) with favourites like caramelized onion and stilton tartlets, herbed Boursin, radish and watercress tea sandwiches and Earl Grey Nanaimo bars.

The feast includes a new bright pink crab, scallop and prawn dumpling as well as Heritage classics like their five spice chicken wings, truffle sui mai, BBQ pork belly, dan dan noodles, gai lan, prawn and pea tip spring rolls, black sesame balls and a jar of Heritage’s house chili sauce.

Ask for Luigi is offering special brunch and dinner features in honour of Mother’s Day. Brunch will feature a fregola bowl with short rib, mushroom, red pepper, a fried egg and Salmoriglio sauce, as well as baked eggs and sausage (served with burrata and focaccia). For dinner the feature is mezzaluna that is stuffed with ricotta, stinging nettle, peas and Meye lemon beurre blanc.
Pourhouse is offering a special brunch menu this Mother’s Day that features an appetizer of truffle tots and sparkling wine and Pourhouse waffles with cinnamon toast whip and candied peaches as a main. They will also be pouring three special brunch cocktails: their popular espresso Manhattan, the corpse reviver and the tonic & bourbon Mary.
Carlino is bringing back their ever-popular brunch board for two ($69) for Mother’s Day. The special board will feature fresh strawberry bread with cream cheese icing, mini parfaits, fresh seasonal fruit, smashed rosemary potatoes, bacon, San Daniele prosciutto, Filoncino bread and mini frittatas. There will also be additional à la carte options available to order, such as their cheesecake French toast (stuffed with raspberry compote and cream cheese icing) and a Panzanella salad (with burrata, garlic crostini, heirloom tomatoes, pickles onions, baby greens, balsamic and olive oil.
Bacaro will be celebrating moms with a special Mother’s Day menu for a full week. The four-course menu features cocktail di gamberi with spot prawns, preserved lemon and tomato mayo, truffle burrata served with preserved peaches, olive oil and balsamic, pasta primavera with spring vegetables, preserved tomatoes and stracciatella and a chocolate tart with hazelnut gelato for dessert. They will also be serving a special Mother’s Day cocktail, the Regale which is made of sparkling wine and cherry syrup.
H Tasting Lounge
H Tasting Lounge is making Mother’s Day extra special with in their Secret Garden. Spend the morning enjoying a multi-course meal in their ubiquitous dome-shaped nooks. Standouts from the prix fixe menu include a coconut kale smoothie bowl, eggs benedict with spinach and dark chocolate caramelized banana pancakes.
If an afternoon celebration is more of your thing, H Tasting Lounge is offering a special afternoon tea to honour Mom. H2 is celebrating Mother’s Day with a family-friendly brunch buffet. The buffet boasts nine different stations: from made-to-order omelettes to brioche French toast, dim sum to a carvery station.
Yuwa Japanese Cuisine
In honour of Mother’s Day, Yuwa Japanese Cuisine is offering both temaki and wagashi sets. Each premium temaki set features enough fresh ingredients, wasabi and nori to make ten temaki cones. The set will include wild Sockeye salmon, Bluefin tuna chutoro, snow crab, spicy tuna, unagi and accompaniments.
The wagashi sets include six pieces that are all uniquely created for springtime and in celebration of moms. Items include shiso mint Domyoji mochi, Joyo Mountain potato cake, nerikiri with Sencha An and more.

Blue Hat Bistro
The Blue Hat Bistro at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is celebrating Mother’s Day with a decadent high tea for two. The afternoon tea menu features both sweet and savoury treats (think mini candied bacon and gruyere quiches and matcha mousse entremets), with everything is prepared by their pastry chef-instructors in conjunction with their Advanced Culinary and baking and pastry students (this includes all the breads, preserves and English-style clotted cream!). There will be a choice of teas available from the Vancouver tea merchant TEALEAVES, as well as bubbles and mandarin mimosas available to add-on.
The Victor is hosting a special Mother’s Day brunch that will feature live music from 10:30AM-1:30PM. Food-wise you can expect their famous eggs benedict (with a mac and cheese waffle!) as well as French toast with Nutella whipped cream and liege waffles with whiskey caramel sauce. There will also be a chilled seafood bar and sushi as well as a dessert cart with mini sweet baked treats, chocolate and candy.
The Victor will also be hosting a Mother’s Day dinner with a menu that includes cheese and onion bread, lobster and crab bisque, prime rib eye roast and crème brûlée doughnuts.

All Trattoria locations are hosting a special Italian feast in honour of Mother’s Day. The meal begins with a pear and fennel salad (with candied pancetta, marinated figs, gorgonzola, walnuts, arugula and red wine vinaigrette), a pasta platter (with truffle spaghetti and meatballs, mushroom ravioli and chicken Milanese) and tiramisu for dessert.

For your main you can choose between salmon crab cake benedict, pulled pork on jalapeno cornbread, pan seared Haida Gwaii halibut, cinnamon brioche French toast, buttermilk fried Cornish game hen with liege waffles or steak and eggs. Dessert is your choice between a ricotta honey tart, butterscotch pudding, a Wedgewood chocolate bar or a Canadian cheese selection. In addition to the full beverage menu, a selection of artisanal Italian coffee and loose-leaf tea will also be available.
Bruno at Versante Hotel is hosting a multi-course brunch in honour of Mother’s Day. You can expect dishes like their smoked salmon avocado toast, truffle potatoes gratin and Fraser Valley smoked sausage as well as the usual favourites from their weekly seafood brunch (think oysters and chilled shellfish). There are a range of desserts as well, from house-made macarons to strawberry shortcake cupcakes. For an additional fee you can also add on bubbly, Northern Divine caviar and buck-a-shuck oysters.

Winston is celebrating Mother’s Day brunch with two special features. First up is their tostada that is topped with navy beans, spiced avocado, jalapeno relish, cave-aged gruyere and two sunny eggs. They also have a steelhead trout crudo on special that comes with green goddess dressing, spring vegetables and crispy potato.

An array of vegetables and house-made sauces for dipping will also be included, as well as Thai tea, a dessert and a bouquet of seasonal tulips from Celsia Florist.
Potluck will also be serving their brunch menu over the weekend for those who are looking to dine out.
Celebrate Mom with a special springtime Puffcream. The limited-edition Puffcream is filled with original-recipe Birchwood Dairy vanilla soft serve and rolled in a generous amount of shaved white chocolate, prushed pistachios and organic dried edible rose petals. Delicious and beautiful.
