Lifestyle Shop Cadine to Open in Cambie Village

The online brand opens a bricks-and-mortar space on November 14.

There’s something very soothing about seeing a space as pretty as Cadine open in 2020. The lifestyle brand—which has been selling florals and homewares online—will be opening its doors on November 14.

We recently got a sneak peek at the Ste. Marie-designed space, and it’s gorgeous. The shop is the brainchild of sisters Brenda and Paul Li, who have a background in product design (Brenda) and finance (Paula)—and a knack for creating the kind of shop we could all use right now.

The space is full of thoughtful, pretty things, ranging from the accessible ($8.50 for punchy-coloured socks from Portugal) to splurge-worthy (a gorgeous house brand of leather bags and shoes).

The shop itself was designed by local interior design group Ste Marie Art and Design, and features plenty of curves, Brech marble, and soft pink tones.

The store features a capsule collection from Manner Studio furniture, which won the top award in the Home category for our 2020 Made in Vancouver Awards.

The team at Cadine designs these bespoke leather bags and shoes, working with Italian leather suppliers, and local manufacturers.

Like their online brand, florals are a big focus of the shop: the sisters grow their own on a plot in Southlands, and a floral station is a centrepiece of the space’s design. Throughout, you’ll also spot curated homewares like garden mint-scented candles from Tatine and cashmere scarves and sweaters from Tru, along with chocolates from Okanagan-based Karat.

The floral station is a centrepiece in the shop’s design, and many of the weekly floral offerings are grown on the sisters’ acreage in Southlands.

Pottery, leather goods and other curated pieces line the walls of the shop.

They’ve been offering a floral pop-up on weekends to the locals in Cambie Village, but the store officially opens its doors this Saturday, November 14.
