Half Corked Marathon

Costumes, wine tasting, and a whole lot of clicks on your sneakers: the Half-Corked Marathon has developed a cult following for good reason. An earlier lottery of nearly 2,500 entries has already filled up this year's race spots.

But thanks to easing restrictions, this Wednesday, March 23 at 7 a.m. they'll be releasing a series of "OMG" tickets: for $249, first-come, first-served entrants can pick up a ticket to the sold-out race. Mark your calendars: it's your last chance to nab a sought after spot.

If you haven’t participated in this marathon before, here's the drill: you run, you sip wines from the region and then you run some more (through vineyards along the Golden Mile Bench and the Black Sage Road, along the Okanagan river). The Marathon takes place on April 23 and has been updated to include even more winery stations than ever before.

Creative costumes are (highly) encouraged and if you and your besties band together for a team ’fit then you can all win a prize. Post-race there will be picnic packs, more wine tasting (of course) and live entertainment.

In addition to the race itself, Oliver Osoyoos will be hosting several special dinners surrounding the marathon including a pre-race wine dinner, Primavera ($120 per person) prepared by Vancouver’s Paella Guys and of course paired with regional wine. Post-race, Kismet Estate Winery will host Dinner on The Farm ($150 per person) that will feature East Indian cuisine and Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country Wines.
