Born and bred in Kitsilano, Sophia Koumbis found a love for fashion when, as a toddler, she pressured her mother into buying her plastic high-heels from the five-and-dime. She started on Boboli’s sales floor 15 years ago, and after travelling the world as the co-buyer for Boboli and Max Mara stores, she was the natural choice to helm the boutique’s contemporary downtown outpost, BluBird.
