Vessi’s Giving Away Free Shoes to Health Care Workers—Here’s How to Get Your Pair

Fresh kicks for our heroes in scrubs.

When associate editor Nathan Caddel bought the exact same shoes as me, I wasn’t mad about it. Vessi makes waterproof shoes that are basically an essential for a puddle-stompin’ Vancouverites waredrobe. Considering there’s dozens of colours and a wide range of styles, he probably didn’t have to buy the exact same colour and style as me, but I guess it’s not his fault I’m such an incredible casual-modern style icon .

We won’t be the only ones rocking these kicks this spring, though: Vessi just announced a big giveaway for frontline health workers, so it’ll soon be the hot look in hospitals across Canada too.

The Vancouver-based footwear company is donating 1,000-plus pairs of Cloud White Everyday sneakers to Canadian medical professionals as a thank you for their work fighting COVID-19. They’ve got arch support, they’re hella breathable and are lightweight—ideal for folks on their feet all day. Doctors, nurses and care aids are all eligible: you’ll just need a valid work email and ID, and currently be working in a healthcare institution in the country. Shoes will be delivered to your doorstep.

Requests for your pair can be made via this form. Can’t wait to twin with y’all. (And Nathan still, I guess.)
