Broadway Across Canada’s Hamilton was originally promised to us in June 2021, but thanks to major historical events (on-brand for the show, no?) it was postponed over and over—now, the worldwide hit is finally taking the stage at the Queen E on May 24.
Tickets are going faster than Eliza fell in love and the opening night seats are basically impossible to snatch (one is currently on resale for $3,356.54—I’d rather take my chances on an old-fashioned gun duel than spend that). But you can get $10 tickets by entering a lottery. Here’s your shot:
The lottery first opens at 10:00am on Friday May 13 and will remain open until 12:00pm on Thursday May 19—that’s for tickets to performances the week of May 24 to 29. And it continues that way, with the lottery beginning on Friday and ending on the following Thursday, with winners scoring $10 tickets to be used towards the next week of shows.
You can enter using the Hamilton app, and winners can buy up to two $10 tickets. There’s 40 $10 tickets available for every performance. You need to show ID to claim them at will call and they’re not valid if resold, so don’t even think about making a quick, I don’t know, $3,356.54.
