The now annual Pemberton Music Festival gets started this Thursday with hot music acts and festival fashion in the mountains. Running for four days in Pemberton Valley near the base of Mount Currie (30 minutes from Whistler), this year’s festival lineup is deep and diverse with multiple stages hosting musical and comedic royalty. Downright legends like Missy Elliott, Alice Cooper, and Weezer (Hash Pipe, anyone?) will be gracing the stage on the weekend. The headliners spell out a who’s who in music right now, including J.Cole, Tiësto, The Black Keys, and Kendrick Lamar’s late-night set that closes out the festival on Sunday.Of course, the festival has a solid Canadian component with names like Billy Talent, eh, and the Sam Roberts Band rocking out on Thursday, as well as indie darlings Broken Social Scene on Saturday.Jack Ü (or Skrillex+Diplo) will be dropping the most serious of beats on Sunday and original lumbersexual Nick Offerman closes out the comedy Laugh Camp stage on Sunday. If you haven’t got your tickets, bite the bullet, whip out the plastic and buy them now. Most of the four-day admission passes are sold out, but limited general admission and VIP single tickets are still available to be snatched up if you’re fast.Pemberton Music Festival 2015Thursday, July 16-Sunday, July 19Pemberton ValleyAll day, late into the nightPembertonmusicfestival.com
