“On, Comet! On, Cupid! On, Donder and Blitzen!” Imagine the thrill of sharing the skies with Santa and his reindeer. Well, ho, ho, hold on to your toques!
You can embark on the same kind of epic journey across the country as Jolly Old Saint Nick when you enjoy FlyOver Canada’s Soar With Santa, from December 9th, 2021 to January 3rd, 2022 at Canada Place. Enjoy the attraction’s spirited Christmas experience, bringing together winter holiday-themed fun and excitement.
Check out these reasons to visit this family-friendly adventure and learn what makes it so special…
Prior to embarking on your 4-D flight, enter the beauty of the festive winter wonderland and enjoy a Christmas pre-show, as you help Santa’s elves Pinecone and Chestnut on their search to spot helpful elves across the country.
When it’s time to board the ride, prepare for takeoff and buckle up. From your seat, which gently soars on three levels in front of a 20-metre-high spherical screen, you’ll journey into the virtual skies for eight minutes from Canada’s east to west coast. Dip, climb and glide over more than 6,000 kilometres of awe-inspiring scenic landscapes, a mere drop in the bucket of Santa’s world-wide journey on Christmas Eve, but still, it’s as close as anyone can get to the magic of how it might feel to take the reins with him.
Feel the wind in your hair, the cool rush of the rivers, and inhale the sweet holiday aroma of peppermint hot chocolate. Yum! Fly over the dazzling lights and bustle of the North Pole before your adventure ends with the magnificent Northern Lights.
Continue the holiday merriment and visit the Vancouver Christmas Market, located at Jack Poole Plaza. Show your FlyOver Canada ticket and receive 20 percent off admission.
Before your flight, join Santa on Saturday, December 18th and Sunday, December 19th, for a delicious breakfast buffet of hot selections and continental items. Choose from favourites like creamy scrambled farm-fresh eggs, French toast, Applewood smoked bacon, breakfast sausage, house-cut hash browns, fresh fruit and fresh baked assorted scones. Gluten-free and dairy-free options are available. Smile! You’ll receive a souvenir photo to help capture all the holiday joy. Seating times: 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Cost includes flight with adults at $70 and children at $55.
There’s plenty of holiday cheer to be had. Yuletide beverages from spiked hot chocolates to holiday punch are available at the Flying Whale Waterfront Cafe. In addition to snacks and both breakfast and lunch menus, sweet treats include assorted cookies and Nanaimo bars, to name a few.
It doesn’t get more holly and jolly than the merry sounds of carolers. Keep an eye and ear out for the roaming Christmas carolers throughout the attraction, who will deck the halls of the Flying Whale Waterfront Cafe and the retail area from December 13th to 17th (3 p.m. to 6 p.m.) Their choir-like voices will also fill the air outside by the ticket desk.
Don’t miss this seek-and-find delightful game from December 9th to January 3rd. Santa has recruited you to locate his missing elves, hidden within the Flying Whale Waterfront Cafe. Help Santa find his naughty elves and he will put you on his nice list. Be rewarded with Santa’s Nice List certificate!
Give the Gift of Flight for the 2022 season or book your ticket online today. Same day tickets will always be at least 10 percent off.
