Get a Stout and a Snout

We probably could have made that sound more appetizing, but there’s only so many pig- and beer- related words that rhyme. Mamie Taylor’s and Fuggles and Warlock Craftworks are joining forces to bring you a three-course suckling pig roast accompanied by five of Fuggles’ weirdest beers, including a White Sangria Kolsch and a Yuzu Berliner brewed just for this event. Tide-y Up

July 21

We hate to break it to you, but it’s going to take more than giving up plastic straws to save our planet (but you sipping that mojito straight from the glass? So brave!). Give a little by taking a lot at the Granville Island Shoreline Cleanup, where you can tidy up our tides and hang out with the crew of eXXpedition North Pacific 2018. This all-female research and sailing crew is sailing 3,000 nautical miles to raise awareness of trash in our oceans. There’s also a no-waste potluck picnic following the cleanup—time to purge the cupboard for all of those missing reusable container tops. When: Saturday, July 21, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.Where: begins at the Granville Island Duck PondCost: FreeMore Info: Register at eventbrite.com
