What better way to celebrate the holiday season then to be surrounded by family and friends, taking in the over one million lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden. This spectacular display is an attraction for anyone looking for some holiday cheer, and has a lot more to offer than just the beautiful light display. Here are our top 5 reasons why VanDusen Festival of Lights is the perfect holiday activity for you and your loved ones.
Whether you want to hear stories from Santa, sing along to your favorite holiday tunes at the indoor festival stage or visit the many food trucks and kiosks, VanDusen Festival of Lights has lots to keep you busy. Make sure to take a free ride on the carousel; one ride per customer is included with ticket purchase.
The holidays are an important time to give to those in need. As VanDusen’s charity partner, the Make-a-Wish foundation has two convenient locations in the garden for you to make a donation. You can either light a candle in their candle grotto or purchase a glow star necklace in their Make-A-Wish® – Lego Room of Joy for a minimum $5 donation.
The main event! Over one million colorful lights illuminate over 15 acres, providing a spectacular backdrop to your holiday outing. Make sure to watch the famous Dancing Lights show that plays every 20 minutes on Livingstone Lake.
Cozy up with loved ones around the outdoor fire pits at the Fireside Lounge. This brand-new licensed area is perfect for a boozy pit stop while exploring the festive grounds.
We’re all looking for that perfect Instagram post. There are strategic sets, frames and selfie spots scattered throughout the grounds to ensure that you take the ultimate holiday pic.
