Throw on a lab coat, grab your safety goggles and get your taste buds ready to sip, snack, and experiment at the city’s liveliest night of food and drinks: Vancouver’s favourite bar stars and culinary geniuses will be mixing some wildly tasty concoctions at Science World’s second annual Science of Cocktails charity fundraiser. On February 9, Science World will transform itself for this after dark, adults only event. More than 20 of the city’s best bartenders and 12 chefs will bring their fanciest gadgets and create outrageously creative science-themed offerings—expect foam, bubbles, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen! Guests are also invited to take a romp around the fantastic venue and test out the interactive science demonstrations in between sips.Science of Cocktails supports Science World’s Class Field Trip Project which sponsors field trips for underprivileged schools. Last year’s cocktail gala raised enough funds to send over 5,000 students on day trips to dynamic museums. This year’s event is, unfortunately, sold out—but don’t worry! Presale tickets for the 2018 event are already available.
