Fall in Amore with Italian Film

January 5 to January 11

The Vancouver Italian Film Festival is playing at the Vancity Theatre with a plethora of Italian films both new and old. Get into the Swing of Things

Saturday, January 6

Cross something off your resolution list early this year and learn a new skill at Hot Club Swing. Put on by the Vancouver Swing Society, Hot Club Swing features a beginners’ class followed by music and dancing for all levels and features swinging DJs and live bands. Dawn your Ziggy Stardust jumpsuit, grab some glitter for a friend and celebrate the life and music of David Bowie at the Rickshaw’s Theatre’s Bowie Ball. Walk the Red Carpet

End your week right at The Rio Theatre’s screening of the 75th Annual Golden Globes. Complete with a red carpet, trivia, prizes and the chance to dress up like a movie star this is one glamorous way to “do you” at the beginning of the year.
