AnnaLena Dinner Series “Volume 003: Arena”

Boulevard Kitchen and Oyster Bar’s ‘La Paulée’ Bordeaux Dinner

Attention, wine enthusiasts. Boulevard is hosting a ‘La Paulée’ event, a time-honoured tradition in France, where guests get to bring and share their own best bottle of Bordeaux. Amongst all the vino, enjoy a multi-course menu custom-created for the occasion by its award-winning culinary team.

Big Day BBQ at The American

A little taste of Texas comes to Vancouver next weekend as The American serves up everything from brisket, ribs and pulled pork to Tex-Mex pasta salad, smokey slaw, and pit beans for their Big Day Barbeque. Wash it down with Strange Fellows that you’ll find on tap.

Chambar’s 15th Anniversary Block Party 

Chambar is celebrating their 15th birthday with 1,500 FREE waffles—the sweet treat that put them on the map. The party will also have live entertainment and an outdoor pig roast. Everyone’s invited, but come early while waffles last.

25th Annual Metro Vancouver Feast of Fields

Feast of Fields is a four-hour wandering gourmet harvest festival—the biggest and longest running food fest in B.C. Stroll from tent to tent, tasting gourmet creations from some of the Lower Mainland’s top chefs, bakers, food artisans, vintners, brewers and distillers.

Luigi Bosca Tasting and Dinner at Vij’s Restaurant

Anthony Gismondi is hosting special guest Alberto Arizu for an evening of wine and food with Argentina’s Luigi Bosca at Vij’s. The night includes a family-style three-course dinner featuring sablefish, pakoras, and kalonji curries—and of course, wine. There’ll also be a cocktail reception, and wine tasting with discussion from Arizu.

Vin Van Long Table Dinner

Vin Van is back at it again with another beautiful long table dinner. This time, the pop-up series is showcasing some of founder Jo Owen’s favourite wines from the Pacific Northwest alongside a multi-course feast created by Belgard Kitchen’s Head Chef Drew Scott. Tickets include a welcome drink, multiple seasonal inspired courses and all wine pairings.

Origo Club ‘La Paulée’ Grand Cru Burgundy Dinner 

Been holding onto that bottle of Burgundian Grand Cru for a very special occasion? This is definitely that occasion. Attendees are to bring along/show-off their two bottles or magnum of their best Grand Cru, while they and their fellow connoisseurs taste amongst the seven-course French inspired dinner. Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival

Who doesn’t love meat and cheese? Okay, probably vegetarians. But for everyone else, there’s the annual Cheese and Meat Festival in Yaletown. Attend a seminar like “Cheese, Chocolate, Beer” before you taste your way through international and local artisan food and liquor samples, then maybe go home for a nap (and a cheese dream).

Sunday Supper On The Farm by Ubuntu Canteen 

It’s hard to not get excited over the phrase “Summer Harvest Beer Pairing Dinner,” and if you’re yet to get yourself to a long table dinner this summer, then this is your chance. Your ticket will get you a tour of the 100-year-old-farm in Surrey and a four-course-family-style-dinner with roast pork, harvested fruits and veggies, alongside pairings from Luppolo Brewing.

Sunday Night Movie Series Continues at Bells and Whistles

Every once in a while it can be nice to catch a glimpse of a movie while you’re drinking a beer at a pub, except the screens are usually tiny, and you never know what they’ll be screening. That’s where Bells and Whistles’ mammoth screens and weekly movie screenings come in. Take advantage of their late night happy hour and catch Super Troopers (September 1), Remember The Titans (September 8), The Waterboy (September 15), The Blues Brothers (September 22), or Animal House (September 29).
