For a Killer Deal with a Side of Sushi: Hello Nori
I got stopped in my tracks on Robson by this excellent deal from Hello Nori, who are offering 50 percent off all alcohol (except bottles of sake) Monday to Thursdays from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. and Sunday to Thursdays from 9:30 p.m. till close. The hand rolls here are super tasty and come in around the $4 to $8 mark, so make for a well-priced sushi stop in the West End. PS: check out their chopstick sculpture, it’s really cool!

For a Little-Night Fun: The Greek
I do love a late-night HH, and The Greek in Yaletown just launched a corker. Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. until close and Friday to Saturday, 10 p.m. until close, you can score Aperol spritzes for $9 and bottles of Okanagan house wines for $38 (steal of a deal!). On the menu, find carb-tastic spanakopita for $8, two cheese-topped keftedes for $9 and other tasty treats too. As the Greeks are wont to say: OPA!

For When You’re Broke and Everything’s Terrible: The Cambie
You gotta love a dive bar that doesn’t seem to have changed one bit since… maybe when it opened in 1897? The HH here, like the Cambie, is a no-frills solid choice which offers some of the best prices in town. All day Monday and the rest of the week from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can get a beer and burger for $8, beer and a shot for $9 and the $6 hot dog definitely does the trick along with a double highball for $6.50.
