On July 22, Big Rock Brewery will host its second annual Summer Sizzler and Open House from their brewery and eatery in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. The free event includes a pig roast, live music, Kitty Nights hula dancers and of course some of the most delicious craft beer available.This year’s Summer Sizzler comes along with Big Rock’s feature brew – Rhine Stone Cowboy Kölsch. The crisp, drinkable beer features subtle fruity notes and a medium carbonation, perfect for sipping on a sunny patio all summer long.Despite its minimalist character, the Rhine Stone Cowboy Kölsch not only stands up against bold flavours, it compliments them. The signature beer pairs effortlessly with spicy food and pork, making it the perfect pairing for Saturday’s epic on-site roast.While the Summer Sizzler will take the form of an inviting backyard barbeque, attendees will also can check out Big Rock’s eatery, which features a full-service restaurant and lounge serving beer-inspired dishes with live and local music. They also boast an in-house beer store, complete with growler fills and bottles of Big Rock classics.Big Rock has been producing craft beer long before the term “artisanal” was on-trend.
