Chef Meets BC Grape is hosting a weekend of intimate dinners, seminars, demonstrations and wine tastings to showcase the Okanagan’s finest local ingredients and luxury products.The event, which runs from August 24 – 27, is set amongst the vineyards and vistas of British Columbia wine country. From iconic wines to celebrity chefs and First Nations flavours, the four-day event promises to be a feast for all the senses.Vancouver Magazine and Western Living have partnered with Chef Meets BC Grape to offer readers a discount code for the premiere events. Here’s a taste of what to expect:August 24: First Nations “Elements” (Earth, Water, Fire, Air) Dinner at Nk’Mip Cellars (Sold Out)Held at the stunning Nk’Mip winery this dinner will feature leading First Nations chefs and be hosted by Cowboy Smithx, a Blackfoot lmmaker and REDx speaker from the Piikani Nation and Kainai Nation in Southern Alberta.August 25: Wines of British Columbia Icon Dinner at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery (Sold Out)The dinner will feature up to six top celebrated chefs from across Canada and up to 12 “iconic” BC VQA wineries. This intimate event for 80 guests will provide an opportunity to taste and experience the best-of-the-best in Canadian cuisine and winemaking.August 26: Taste of the Okanagan Festival at See Ya Later Ranch The historic See Ya Later Ranch will be converted into a tented, festival-style outdoor extravaganza featuring celebrated chefs and many BC VQA wines and winemakers. The day will include chef demonstrations, wine education seminars, food and wine pairings, masterclasses and a variety of food and wine stations.August 27: British Columbia Bubbles and Brunch at Hester Creek Estate Winery The closing event will be a decadent brunch featuring Chef Brock Bowes’ delicious menu of local, in-season ingredients, perfectly paired with a variety of local bubbly wines.
