How else would you spend a Tuesday evening? Tonight at 6 p.m., The Cascade Room is hosting bartenders from all over Main St. as they compete to make the best cocktail using Mount Gay Eclipse Rum (sponsor alert). As the bartenders serve each of the three industry judges, the general public will receive a one-ounce sample of the drink, which they can score on a card provided upon entrance.Along with The Cascade Room, other challengers include El Camino’s, The Five Point, The Nomad, The Reef, The Shameful Tiki Room, and possibly other rooms who weren’t organized enough to sign up too far in advance—cheers to you, hospitality industry. You might remember the organizer of the event, Justin Taylor, sharing his winning cocktail recipe from Gin-A-Palooza with us, so we asked him to share a drink in an ode to the Main St. challenge.
