Join us on Thursday, September 12, 2024 between 6:00 PM – 8:00PM for an evening of creativity and inspiration. Explore the original contemporary ink drawings by Chrissy Cheung to intice your muse.
Chrissy Cheung is a local visual artist in East Vancouver. The works on paper here have lyrical and narrative composition. Drawing intersects many fields, making it an interdisciplinary medium and a starting point in many arts. Raw ideas can be understood by drawing. Graphical scores influenced Chrissy years ago when she did an artist residency at the Banff Centre.  Here is an exhibition of over 25 one-of-a-kind artworks, a progression of Chrissy’s abstractions over the last decade.

In 2007, the Loughborough University: Tracey: Drawing and Visualization Research, published the essay Chrissy Cheung wrote, “What is Drawing?”. Following in 2008, she was accepted into the Emerging artist program at the Drawing Center in New York. Over a decade has passed and Chrissy’s drawings have been collected by the Ville de Montréal collection and by private collections across Canada and the US.

This exhibition will run daily from September 4- November 30, 2024. Luppolo Brewing opens daily from noon to 9pm or later.
