DanceHouse announces its 2025/26 season of potent, poignant, and provocative works from Canada and around the globe – on Vancouver stages from October 2025 through April 2026. With performance styles drawn from a vast array of cultural and contemporary influences – from martial arts and circus to Shakespeare and ritualistic drumming – audiences will be transported on an unforgettable journey around the globe. The 18th season includes Montreal choreographer Daniel Léveillé’s masterwork Amour, acide et noix (Love, Acid and Nuts); the Vancouver premiere of Birdy from Taiwan’s Hung Dance – whose choreographic vocabulary is drawn from martial arts and Peking opera; the North American premiere of Paradisum from Hungary’s cirque dance company Recirquel; the BC premiere of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark from Canada’s own Ex Machina & Côté Danse, who bring their respective genius to Shakespeare’s most famous work; and the BC premiere of Manifesto from Australia’s Stephanie Lake Company, which offers up a collective call for radical joy. Subscriptions for past subscribers are on sale April 1 and for new subscribers on April 22. Choose ‘Your Own Four Packs’ are on sale May 13, and single tickets on May 27.
