This Saturday (July 25), explore the region’s verdant backyard by bike!The Agassiz Cycle Farm Tour is an all-day farmers’ market sprawled across more than 30 kilometres of public roads, so cyclists can go from farm to farm, sampling treats and shopping for freshly grown produce and other goodies along the way.Now in its ninth year, expect regular attractions such as Farm House Natural Cheese, Tasty Chicken, Pea Shoots, The Back Porch farm and artisan coffee roasters, and Cabin Fever Pies, plus new participants like Agassiz Community Gardens, Golden Eagle Aquaculture salmon farm, and organic vegetable farm Miellie Meadows.There’s even a free shopping shuttle to collect cyclists’ purchases for easy pickup at the end of the day, so you can shop unencumbered and without any limitation on the amount of handmade jam, fudge, and pie that can be carted back to the city.Agassiz Farms Cycle TourSaturday, July 25, 9am-4pmStarts at 6800 Pioneer Ave., AgassizPre-register at fraservalleycycletours.com/agassiz-tourRegistration $10.
