This Is the Cheapest Whistler Epic Pass You Can Get (But Only Until September 5)

Prices go up after Labour Day weekend.

Now that it’s September 1st and we’ve been living through weeks of perfect sunshine and Ontario-like heat and humidity, I wouldn’t say I’ve been dreaming of snow… yet. But it’s definitely the time to plan to re-up on a pass to Whistler. Labour day is the last chance to pick up the Epic Pass for the lowest price of the season.

While the Epic Pass gets you access to all of Vail’s 41 resorts (and that has me dreaming of a mid-winter trip to Park City or… Switzerland?), I’ve lived in Vancouver for 20 years, and I still don’t take for granted that Whistler is my local mountain, and my main reason for an Epic.

New this season, the Epic Pass now includes Andermatt-Sedrun in Central Switzerland.

And there are some big upgrades coming to the hill: this year they’re upping capacity at the Creekside Gondola from a 6-person to a 10 person (increasing uphill capacity by 35 percent), as well as taking Big Red Express from a 4-person chair to a 6-person lift—another 30 percent uptick.

Whistler still has their Edge Cards for those who plan to stick local, too—in 2, 5 and 10-pass amounts. Find the pass that fits you best here by Monday, September 5—and meet me at the Umbrella Bar on opening day, November 24!
