Friday, September 23: Alicia Tobin’s Come Draw With Me

Alicia Tobin’s Come Draw With Me at Hot Art Wet City is the perfect antidote to a stressful week. Armed with a cookie tin full of markers and enough paper with everyone, Tobin leads the audience through a silly, low-stakes drawing session before sharing the results for all to see, kindergarten style. Our favourite theme to date: “Draw your favourite animal eating your favourite summertime snack.” This month’s show features standup comedy from special guests James Kennedy, Devin Alexander and Charlie Demers. Sundays: The Sunday Service

If you haven’t witnessed the Sunday Service live, you are truly missing out. Award winning improv comedians Ryan Beil, Taz VanRassel, Caitlin Howden, Aaron Read and Kevin Lee, accompanied by musical director Emmett Hall, are a force to be reckoned with, bringing a surge of absurdist energy to the stage unlike anything else Vancouver has to offer. Tuesdays: Little Mountain Improv

This crack team of local improvisors produce a loose, fun-filled show at Little Mountain Gallery every Tuesday. Think you’re good enough to join them onstage? Easy, tiger. Wednesdays: Cords Comedy
