Lululemon To Release Craft Beer

Shocker: it’s neither wheat-, fat-, nor alcohol-free!

Shocker: it’s neither wheat-, fat-, nor alcohol-free!

Curiosity-Lager-500mL-DryYogi super-brand Lululemon has partnered with Stanley Park Brewing to release Curiosity Lager. Described as a “crisp, bold session lager,” the brew (4.6 percent alcohol) will be sold in government liquor stores across B.C. and Alberta beginning July 20. It also aims to direct good karma toward thirsty Vancouverites, with partial proceeds donated to the Stanley Park Ecology Society.Though yoga and carbs aren’t the most obvious combination, this isn’t the first time the two Vancouver staples have collided. Lululemon teamed up with Stanley Park last year to produce Sunset Strawberry Wit beer, but it was exclusive to those who attended Lulu’s SeaWheeze Half Marathon after-party. Those behind the collaboration say their inspiration was simple: “We got together and asked ourselves, after a hot and sweaty run on the seawall, what would we be craving?”What with Curiosity Lager merging two of Vancouver’s favourite pastimes—yoga and drinking (craft beer only, of course)—we’re opening the floor to Photoshop wizards and internet comedians (yes, you, Reddit fans).
