The Vancouver-based bags and accessories company will hook you up for summer exploring.

There’s nothing more quintessentially West Coast than hiking while looking stylish. Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, the brothers behind Herschel, arguably dominate the put-together-wanderer market with what has become the staple backpack whether you’re conquering Grouse or strolling Main St. We sat down with co-founder Lyndon Cormack to hear more about Herschel’s summer plans. What is your must-have gear for a hike in and around the city?  Basic essentials would be sunscreen, sunglasses, first aid kit and signal, water bottle, and snacks (I really like KIND bars, with some fruit and veggies too). It’s also important to wear a hat, like the Glendale Cap from the Headwear collection. What’s your choice of bag for a weekend getaway?  The Novel — perfect for its size and shoe compartment. For the lighter packer, an Alexander Tote or Strand would be another great option. What is your favourite Herschel product and why?  Strand, because it is so versatile and can be used as an everyday bag to bring your computer, gym gear, and lunch right through to a weekend away. The front open pocket gives easy access to keys and wallet, and the large catchall interior with the snap-down closure lends itself well to stuffing to maximum capacity! What’s next for Herschel?  Fall 15 Women’s is new this season; we launched an exciting line with Liberty of London. We have thinner straps and smaller shapes to complement any outfit.Herschel-Supply
