The Rio pays homage to Nirvana frontman and grunge icon Kurt Cobain this Saturday (May 16) with a screening of the critically acclaimed Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, followed by an evening of live performances by an array of local talent, including singer-songwriter Carolyn Mark, East Van rock ’n’ roll covers choir the Kingsgate Chorus, and Molly Guldemond of Mother Mother.Praised by Rolling Stone as “the most intimate rock doc ever,” Montage of Heck offers viewers an intimate look into the late star’s life.
