After a battle with non-Hodgkins lymphoma, former telecommunications real estate specialist Mark Cooperstone (left) felt he needed to do something different with his life. “After spending a year getting healthy, I had to prove to myself I could still be productive,” he remembers. Cooperstone and Ryan Seitz, his partner of 15 years and a registered massage therapist, pooled their dreams and talents to build Spruce Body Lab (literally in Cooperstone’s case: he was the general contractor). Since celebrating the spa’s five-year anniversary in June, Cooperstone has once again returned to wireless communications and Seitz oversees Spruce’s business interests.
