Discover the essential elements for the ultimate winter experience under one roof.
This weekend, the first annual ROAM Winter Expo reimagines the typical usual-suspects trade show. Rather than the formulaic table-upon-table approach, this new show aims to engage visitors with interaction focussed on the West Coast. Meaning? You’ve got it: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, fishing, surfing, yoga, . In addition to showcasing hot new trends in winter gear, ROAM will also feature hands-on experiential exhibits where visitors can hone their snowboarding skills, take in a flow yoga class with a Lululemon instructor, and drink beer to the call of an Oompah band—we’re not really sure how West Coast that is but hey, it’s October. The winter spirit reigns supreme with three marketplaces dedicated to adventure, travel and fitness. Highlights include free fitness classes (in addition to yoga, there is Kettlebell with the Steve Nash Fitness Group and Cyclefit with the YMCA of Greater Vancouver), the Burton Riglet Kids Zone, and the Winter Extreme new-and-used equipment sale. The local brews of Parallel 49, Stanley Park Brewing, and Postmark Brewing will also be pouring at the Oktoberfest Craft Tent, a portable tasting room inspired by microbrewery culture.ROAM Winter ExpoSaturday, October 17th, 10am – 9pm Sunday, October 18th, 10am – 4pmTicket prices range from free (children under 12) to $15Vancouver Convention Centre, 999 Canada Place, 1-855-980-ROAM
