Contrary to popular belief Kalena’s Shoes was not named after its ambitious founder, Carmine, but after his hometown in the Molise region of Italy. The family run business was established in 1967 to provide quality, fashion forward merchandise for all. A commitment to quality leather, latest trends and superior design pay tribute to his Italian upbringing.Four decades later, Kalena’s continues to provide Vancouverites with high end shoes, accessories and handbags from their Commercial Drive location, fittingly located in the heart of Little Italy. In addition to their flagship storefront, a North Vancouver outlet store opened in 2008, bringing a larger selection—at lower prices—to its loyal Lower Mainland clientele.Kalena’s Shoes carries men’s, women’s and children’s styles in addition to a variety of top end leather accessories straight from Italy, bringing a welcome flavour of Europe to Carmine’s adoptive home.
