In 1909, a clan of Presbyterians erected a Romanesque Revival cathedral on a quiet corner in Mount Pleasant. Last year, with the faithful long dispersed, a residential reincarnation attracted Frank and Liz Malinka (long-time financial backers, via namesake Malinka Financial, of the Eastside Culture Crawl, on this month). The space, a condo with 12-metre ceilings, exposed brick, and colossal arched windows, sets the stage for a beloved (and irreverent) collection of local and international art.
