Before Hibernation Season Ends: A Round-Up of the Coziest Shopping Picks
A closets’ transition into fall never flows smoothly. Starting today and running until August 31, Holt Renfrew’s aptly timed Anine Bing Collection pop-up shop eases the metamorphoses from spaghetti straps to cozy knits.
The pop-up expertly marries SoHo edge with bohemian femininity; Bing’s eponymous clothing label is designed to carry a woman through her day in effortless style. But don’t take our word for it; just look to the smattering of A-list stars (Rosie Huntington-Whitley, Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth, you name it) slipping into breezy silk dresses and jet black moto leather jackets, each with “Anine Bing” discretely tucked into the collar.
Achieving the bedhead-cum-Hollywood-starlet attitude all year round doesn’t require a multi-day, stress-ridden shopping trip around the city. Bing’s garments are naturally “trans-seasonal.” Gold-studded suede-leather booties, casually distressed boyfriend jeans, and white-washed tees cheekily reading, “BING BING,” add up to a look that’s laid-back, comfortably sexy, and never wanting in a little Led Zeppelin-chic – no matter what the weather is outside.
Anine Bing will be at the pop-up shop August 21 (4-6pm) for a meet-and-greet with customers and fans alike (after all, her Instagram following of 169,000 makes up a small, yet style-savvy town).
