Mount Pleasant offers a little taste of Scotland at Isabelle Dunlop’s girlishly indie boutique (4158 Main St., Vancouver, 604-708-0450) where creamy cotton frocks, tartan and vintage-laced dresses, and buffalo check wool capes dance off the racks. The husband and wife team set up shop with complete in-store production, amounting to a line of dreamy designs exclusively available in-store (with a scattering of goods lingering at One of a Few). To keep the pickings fresh and imbued with the Dunlop touch, the hip twosome double as electropop band Combine the Victorious, where her designs are often put to test on stage.
Why we love it: Dunlop brings eight years of experience to the table as former co-owner of Gastown’s Block.
