The bakery's Parisian-style pastry gets a twist this summer.
When it comes to enjoying a classic croissant-and-coffee pairing, Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe is a go-to for many Vancouverites. From their chocolate rosemary cookies to their fluffy pastries, there’s a lot to love. If you feel like swapping out the rosemary cookies for something a little different on your next visit, good news: Beaucoup is rolling out new pastries inspired by Middle Eastern flavours to their seasonal menu, starting July 3rd until September 16th. These new baked goods apply the cafe’s signature French-style zeal but with twist: chef and owner Betty Hung decided to infuse a taste of the East into the traditional Parisian treats. For fans of Beaucoup’s signature baked goods, the new pastry list features old favourites with a fresh spin, like the double-baked pistachio and rice pudding croissant (made with saffron syrup, pistachio frangipane and vanilla rice pudding) along with the passion berry pull-apart bun (a layered pastry with fresh B.C. berries, passion fruit chocolate and raspberry sauce). They’ve added a new cookie to the roster, too—the aptly-named saffron vanilla cookie. In the savoury category, be sure to try the herb and farro tarte (herbs, roasted bell peppers, marinated artichokes and candied walnuts) a Middle Eastern take on the classic American waffle–but with extra toppings and added flakiness.Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe, 2150 Fir StNew Menu: July 3 to September 16 (Photo Credit: Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe) (Photo Credit: Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe) (Photo Credit: Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe) (Photo Credit: Beaucoup Bakery and Cafe)
