Pepper your Canada Day/Fourth of July week off with some flavour south of the border.

The masterminds behind Mobile Mavens have zeroed-in on what the people want: retro campers, bike carts, and some good ol' comfort food. Chef Danielle Custer and catering entrepreneur Michelle Clair already have successful food trucks in the form of the Biscuit Box (think flaky biscuits dripping with butter and local toppings) and Pop Up, a collaboration with local partners of the gelato variety serving ice cream pops, sandwiches, and paletas. Tomorrow (June 30), the dynamic duo --backed by Bon Appétit Management Company -- will reveal three new additions to their Seattle-based food truck empire. Lil’ Blu + Half Pint will serve gourmet lemonade, soda , and local craft brews. Tomorrow's assortment will debut Barnes & Watson Tahitian Iced Tea, Soda Jerk Raspberry-Vanilla Soda, and Timber City Ginger Beer. The clue is in the name with GaiBox Chicken +Rice which will keep it simple with, well, poached local chicken and rice ($9) served with a variety of Asian sauces. Picnic is sure to cater to the office lunchtime crowd with a menu that ranges from Quick PB&J ($5) to Lamar's Jamaican Meat Pie ($7), with the Italian Sausage Hoagie ($9) falling somewhere in between. The pop-up launch party takes place at the Olympic Sculpture Park tomorrow from 7:30-9:00 p.m, make sure to #Vanmagram to show us what other surprises the Mavens might have in store.
