Harmony For All is Organizing a Musical Instrument Donation Day on December 14th

Harmony For All founder (and Burnaby city councillor) Joe Keithley hopes to provide musical instruments to Burnaby children who want to play music but cannot afford instruments or lessons. On December 14th, Harmony For All is holding a musical instrument donation day at Burnaby’s Farmer Market. All instruments will be assessed for value and charitable tax receipts will be provided to those who donate for the 2019 tax year.

“I want to give kids whose parents may not have the money for instruments and lessons to get on the life-altering path that learning music can be. Music provides structure and helps keep kids safe, off the street, and helps with cognitive development that accelerates understanding of math and science,” says Keithley, who is also the lead singer of the punk rock band D.O.A.

Harmony For All will accept any instruments that are in reasonable conditions. If you have a large instrument like a piano or drum kit, email joe.keithley@burnaby.ca before the event for instructions.

When: December 14th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 4949 Canada Way, Burnaby
