1. Catch Secret Mall Apartment and More at VIFF

September 26

It’s the kickoff to the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) (September 26 to October 6) and this week, dive into Secret Mall Apartment, a 2024 doc that finally answers the childhood dream: “What if I lived in a mall?” With over 140 films screening, get ready to embrace popcorn for dinner the next week.

2. Shop Local and Get Vintage at the Eastside Flea 

September 23

The Eastside Flea market is also back! From September 23 to October 29, every Saturday and Sunday from 11 p.m. to 5 p.m., come mix and mingle and shop ’til you drop (a bunch of cash on that perfect vintage sweater!) with over 50 local vendors offering handmade goods, vintage, art and more.

3. Hit the Fashion-Fueled Finale of Acclaimed Photographer Martine Gutierrez’s Exhibition Anti-Icon: Apokalypsis

September 26
